About

Somebody’s Attic is not just an average thrift store—it’s what someone would call “A second hand store with a first rate cause.” Founded in 1985 as a non-profit organization, Somebody’s Attic was designed to generate funds to help local organizations fund abuse-prevention programs. It is a grass roots organization conceived and started by dedicated community leaders who saw a need and did something about it.

As a result of the work of the volunteers and organizers involved, Somebody’s Attic gives an average of $106,000/year to local abuse-prevention programs, namely CAPSA (Citizens Against Physical and Sexual Abuse) and The Family Place (formerly the Child and Family Support Center). All donated items that have not been sold or cannot be stored are picked up by the Deseret Industries. We work together to maximize the value we can provide to the community.

Thank you for all of your support in helping this local organization in its fight to end abuse in Cache Valley.

Donations

Somebody’s Attic depends upon the generosity of the community. More than a dozen local businesses have provided goods, services, and support. Private sector support has come from attics, basements, garage sales, church groups, and from YOU, the individual. Donations are received at both locations during store hours. Items donated at the Smithfield location can be brought in through the front door. Items donated at the Logan location are received through the back door. Please do not leave any items in the parking lot after store hours as it is considered to be illegal dumping according to city ordinances.

If you would like to make a cash donation, please donate directly to CAPSA or The Family Place.

Items in high demand are highlighted.
